Court Use Rules

THE PRACTICE AND USE OF THE CROQUET LAWN AT THE REAL CLUB DE GOLF DE CASTIELLO

To be able to use it, it is necessary to hold a license from the Spanish Croquet Federation.

Instructions and application forms are available at the Club’s Secretariat.

It will not be necessary to be a federation member to receive beginner lessons.

All members interested in receiving theoretical and practical instruction must register at the Secretariat.

The use of the lawn is reserved for members, and guests accompanied by members.

Reservations of the lawn must be made in person or by telephone at the «Mallet Room», 48 hours in advance, and must be made by a single person. The number of players who will attend, up to a maximum of 4, must be indicated at that time. Reservations can also be made through the Club’s own website, under Members → Reservations → Zones. This online procedure currently does not allow indicating the number of players, so if you choose this method you must notify the «Mallet Room» before play. Due to the current confusion caused when the number of participating players is not always communicated, a daily schedule will be posted in the Croquet Lawn Hut on which players for each slot must write their name, and if they have any guests, their names and status.

To facilitate play, tee-times are set on the hour (primary balls) and at +10′ (secondary balls), using a double-banking system.

When adopting this, interruptions for crossings must respect the 3-minute rule. Exceptionally, and only for local regulation purposes, this rule will apply EVEN at the first wicket once the 10-minute difference in start times has elapsed. The lawn may be occupied in each slot by 1, 2, 3, or 4 players who are on the reservation list.

Only one hour per member per day may be reserved. If the next hour is free, you may reserve it again once your previous session has ended. You must notify the «Mallet Room», in person or by phone, indicating which players will continue or be added.

The fee for using the lawn is €5 per hour per player, regardless of whether there are 1, 2, 3, or 4 players.

A member’s guest will pay €20 per hour, up to 3 times per month and 15 times per year.

Footwear must be smooth, without heels or studs, and attire must be white in competition.

The use of the lawn is only permitted for those over 14, accompanied by an adult, until they reach 18.

Monitors are expressly authorized to give lessons to Club members on our premises.
